Safety Information

Installation Safety

  • Installation should only be completed by trained personnel.
  • The door control unit and header cover profile must be properly grounded.
  • Test operation according to ANSI 156.10 before leaving the installation site.
  • Unauthorized repairs void the warranty.

Maintenance Recommendations

  • Clean optical components annually or more frequently if necessary.
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning chemicals.
  • Avoid highly reflective objects within the infrared field.
  • Prevent excessive vibration during installation.

Mounting Instructions

Sensor Placement

Mount the sensor centered over the clear opening. The bottom of the sensor should not exceed 5 inches from the bottom of the door header.

Single Slider Installation

For single sliding doors, edge mounting is possible using IR Width settings 4 or 5.

Wiring Harness Routing

Use the supplied harness only. Route wiring away from high-voltage cables to avoid interference.
