DOR-O-MATIC Astro-Fold Universal Control Box

Operating Modes
The Astro-Fold system supports multiple operating modes through a four-position switch.
OFF
- Door remains inactive
- Automatic activation is disabled
- Morning-entry switch can still provide access when configured
1-WAY
- Interior activation opens the door
- Exterior activation will not open a closed door
- Exterior activation can reopen a door during the closing cycle
2-WAY
- Both interior and exterior activation devices operate the door
HOLD OPEN
- Door remains in the open position until the mode is changed
If no four-position switch is installed, the controller defaults to 1-WAY operation.
Adjustable Controls
The Astro-Fold Universal Control Box includes several field-adjustable operating parameters.
Opening Speed
Three selectable settings:
- Fast
- Medium
- Slow
For most installations, the slowest practical setting is recommended for safety and smooth operation.
Backcheck Speed
Controls door speed as it approaches the fully open position.
Options include:
- One-Door Mode
- Two-Door Mode
Hold-Open Time Delay
Adjusts the amount of time the door remains open after activation.
Adjustment Range
- Approximately 1.5 seconds to 30 seconds
Closing Speed
Separate adjustments are available for:
- Master Operator
- Slave Operator
Allows precise tuning for paired-door applications.
Power Boost
The Power Boost feature increases closing force during the latch cycle.
Benefits
- Improved latching performance
- Enhanced operation in windy conditions
- Better performance in buildings with stack pressure
When enabled, Power Boost increases closing force for approximately 7 seconds after the door reaches the latch position.
